The shorter days provide the perfect excuse to end a day in the outdoors at one of our three local breweries or enjoy the wide selection of delicious dining fare. Smooth corduroy and deep powder stashes define McCall in the winter. The area is host to more than 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, 60 kilometers of Nordic trails, endless routes for adventurous snowshoers and three alpine ski areas. Our 300+ inches of average snowfall mean that whatever your winter sport, we have you covered in fresh white stuff!
Spring blends the perfect mix of winter and summer. Hit the slopes in the morning for sunny spring skiing then head down the hill and explore miles of mountain biking trails on a fat bike. You can find stashes of powder hidden in the high country on your snowmobile or enjoy a relaxing soak in a hot springs…all in the same day!
Hot summer days and cool starry nights are what summer in the mountains is all about! Water is the star of the show and whether you are boating, canoeing or sunbathing on Payette Lake or hitting world class rapids on the river, there is no shortage of opportunities to cool off. On land, 5 area golf courses, hundreds of miles of mountain biking and hiking trails, off-road riding and more await. Cap it all off with a fresh scoop of huckleberry ice cream and you have the makings of a fabulous summer day in McCall!
