Description:  MDEF is a non-profit organization established by parent and patrons of MDSD as an active partner with the School District to build a better future for our children. Established in 2006, the MDEF has distributed nearly $200,000 in grants to enhance and promote public education.

This has been possible through the hard work of a unique and diverse board, as well as a committed and supportive community.

This year MDEF has put 5 wonderful new programs in the schools. It is our goal to touch as many children’s educational needs in the area as possible.
