Ponderosa is one of McCall's most beautiful recreational areas.  Easy access. Only 2 miles northeast of downtown McCall.

Peninsuala Campground offers 113 campsites. Amenities include fire rings, picnic tables, water and electric hook-ups, dump station, and 3 bath houses with hot showers and flush toilets.  The covered picnic shelter can be reserved by calling the park.  There is also and RV campground with a total of 50 campsites: 4 which are ADA designated. The bathhouse is centrally located in the campground and offers restrooms as well as a unisex shower room, both of which have ADA accessibility.

RESERVATIONS: You may reserve campsites from the Thurs. prior to Memorial Day through Labor Day. Reservations are accepted 9 months in advance of your intended stay and no less than 48 hours prior to your arrival. On off season, it is a first come serve. (Weather permitting)

The camping typically ends mid-October. However, 5 Deluxe Cabins located on the lake are reservable year round.

North Beach: At the North end of Payette Lake lies the 630 acre NB Area. There are 22 non-reservable sites with fire pits, central watern and vault toilets available at the Northwest Passage Campground.

The park is not only for camping, hiking, swimming and biking in the summer. In the winter, the Visitor's center continues to be open as Nordic skiing and snowshoeing are popular activites at the park.
