Snowbike racing returns to the 47th annual McCall Winter Carnival, on Saturday, January 28, 2012, from 2 to 5pm at the McCall Golf Course.

Known as “Flash Point,” the event will take place on the McCall Golf Course and is expected to draw over 1,500 spectators and dozens of participants from across the Western United States and Canada. Snowbiking is a relatively recent form of winter recreation, primarily pioneered by 2Moto and Timbersled, two Idaho-based companies, where a ski and a lightweight, high-performance track are fitted to modern, off-road motorcycles.
Flash Point will allow snowbike owners and enthusiasts to compete on a 1-mile, groomed track on the McCall Golf Course that will feature both right and left hand turns and a number of rolling jumps and banked turns.
EVENTS
The trophy event will allow amateur snowbike racers to compete against each other for trophies, prizes and bragging rights.
The Legends event will put a number of famous, professional motorsports racers on the track together.
A special, children’s snocross event will also allow kids to compete against each other on 120cc, “mini” snowmobiles. 120 classes will include a 5 and under stock class, 6-12 year old stock class and 6-12 year old open class. Machines with internal engine modifications or tuned exhaust will not be allowed in the stock classes. Entry fees are $15 per class but anyone that registers online prior to January 26th will receive a $5 discount per class. Registration can be accessed by going to http://www.flashpointsnowbike.com/ and clicking on "Register Online".
Food and beverages will be available on site, and admission is $5 for adults, and kids 12-under are free. For more information call Ron Dillon at (208) 573-4255.
