Education is thriving in McCall. The McCall-Donnelly Joint School District serves approximately 989 students in two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and an alternative high school. In 2014, the McCall-Donnelly High School received a 5 star rating (the highest possible) from the Idaho Department of Education and was named as one of “Newsweek” Magazine’s Best High Schools in America. The school also received a Smart Growth Green Building award from the Idaho Business Review.
In 2013, a new college was started in McCall with a focus on hybrid education that incorporates alternative teaching methods, including an emphasis on online materials and teaching.
