Amy Isacson lives in McCall, Idaho and specializes in portraiture, landscape, wedding, documentary and lifestyle photography. Passionate about the great outdoors, many of her images are a narrative of people in powerful landscapes. McCall is a perfect setting for this and she looks forward to documenting your story.
Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Whitman College and is a graduate of the Art Institute of Portland. She and her husband are avid preservationists, restoring and maintaining properties in both California and the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys going on wild adventures with her husband and two sons and experiencing new and unusual places.
I am a photographer of all things outdoors who recently relocated to McCall, Idaho. I love vibrant, active photographs with an impressive background. I am actively searching out the latest and greatest in outdoor locations and would love to photograph your engagement session, senior session or family portraits in any of the amazing spots in and around McCall. As you can probably tell from my photography collections, I am the mother of two rambunctious boys and wife to one rambunctious husband. I was born and raised in Alabama and started working as a photographer during my college days at Auburn University. I fell in love with landscapes and wildlife photography and moved to Alaska because of that craving and my desire to be outdoors. There was a time when you couldn’t have paid me to put a person in a beautiful landscape. That would ruin the view! After getting married and starting a family, I discovered a whole new world in portraiture. Now I am really, really in love with photographing people! They still need to be in front of an awe inspiring backdrop, but they are now the most important element.
Working as a location photographer has taken Pam from Fortune 500 board rooms to agricultural fields to colleges campuses. The diversity of clients, environments and landscapes have one commonality. They’re all different.
“I make photographs that tell your story, your way – in your language – by listening to and observing who you are.”
Pam is not only hired for the way she sees – eyes on the grounds – but for her professionalism and ability to put people at ease, whether in front or away from the camera. She creates a comfort zone, resulting in photographs which tell your story, capturing real events, with real people.
Pam provides a wide range of services which include architecture, agriculture, editorial, education, advertising, public relations, events, portraits – head shots, seniors, couples, family and weddings.
Educated and trained as a Fine Art Photographer, then changing to photo journalism was pivotal. “Incorporating both her educated and skilled fine art eye with an insatiable curiosity about life has created a distinct and dynamic combination.”
Making a living as a photographer is not only a living but a life style. Pam lives and works in and out of McCall. Her other life – the life style part – involves runs in the mountains, mountain biking, skiing, riding horses and living life to it’s fullest – a daily goal.
