Brundage Mountain Resort has a special place in the hearts of Idaho snow lovers. Snow conditions are consistently outstanding, which is why Brundage Mountain has earned the reputation for the Best Snow in Idaho™. It’s no secret that the snow is deep and the lift lines are usually short. The mountain gets frequent storms, so skiers and boarders can cruise on freshly groomed runs or search for powder stashes in the trees and bowls.
For beginners, Brundage is one of the best mountains in Idaho to learn on—the drive-up daycare and Kid’s Center makes it easy to get the whole family where they need to go. The Easy Street double chair and Bear Chair triple provide easy access to beginner and advanced beginner terrain close to the Kid’s Center.
A majority of the luxuriously wide groomed runs are rated for intermediates, but experts who like to head off-trail have endless options. Shoot over to the north side of the mountain to Hidden Valley (follow the expert only signs) and go big. Real powder hounds will want to try the backcountry snow-cat program which operates on 18,000 acres of Payette National Forest.
Visit Brundage and you’ll pick up on that authentic Idaho feeling. Just eight miles away, the town of McCall will impress you with its friendly, low-key vibe.
Brundage Mountain has recently acquired ownership of 488 acres at the base area, and future plans include brand-new base area facilities and ski-in, ski-out lodging.
With the best snow in Idaho, a family atmosphere, affordable prices, friendly people, and an uncrowded powder experience, Brundage is a true snowrider’s mountain, poised to become a favorite destination resort.

id Theater is a development only theater company. We believe that in order to have great theater we have to start with great plays, and in order to have great plays we must nurture talented writers. Working chiefly in McCall, Idaho and New York City, id provides a safe place for artists (professional, emerging, amateur & student) to develop work, take risks and introduce audiences to adventurous new works that reflect, challenge and celebrate them.
This development happens through four distinct programs:
• Seven Devils Playwrights Conference an annual two-week Conference bringing playwrights & theater artists from around the country to McCall, Idaho for 2 weeks of rehearsals, readings and workshops of new work, including plays by area high school students.
• NYC Sit-In! A monthly reading series that offers artists who have worked with us a venue to hear re-writes, polish up old plays or hear new works for the very first time at the Back Room at Jimmy’s No. 43 in New York City.
• Bridgeworks supports writers as they bridge the gap from development to production.
• id-iots at Play are writer’s groups composed of playwrights who gather every two weeks to share and read new work.
Since 2001, id has developed more than 145 new plays by Pulitzer Prize-winners, emerging writers, high school students and everything in between. Plays developed through id have gone on to full production at such venues as The Humana Festival/Actors Theater of Louisville, Roundabout Theatre, Denver Theater Center, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Barrington Stage Company, Chicago’s Gift Theater, Kitchen Theater, Montana Rep and Boise Contemporary Theater, among many others.

Established in August 1973, the Valley County Museum Complex at Roseberry Idaho is governed by the Long Valley Preservation Society (LVPS). Roseberry stands by itself in the middle of the Long Valley and is located one and one half miles from Donnelly on Idaho State Highway 55. As the largest presentation of Finnish Culture in the Western United States, Roseberry is also a National and International draw for foreign visitors. Roseberry is unique because the museum is currently comprised of twenty-two buildings, many housing historical displays, and providing visitors with a year-round view of the history of Long Valley. The Museum is operated seasonally. Hours are: May – Sunday 1-5; June/July/August – Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1-5; September – Sunday 1-5. Visitors to the town site are welcome to view buildings year-round. The summer season provides rustic grassy areas for picnics.
PRIVATE EVENTS – Weddings, Family Gatherings, Memorials, Class Reunions – Can be held on the Roseberry Museum Grounds. Providing both indoor seating capacity up to 100 and adjoining outdoor space to accommodate up to 300, there are events planned throughout the summer season. For information regarding your event plan and rental fees, contact HistoricRoseberryEvents@gmail.com or call the museum at 208-325-8628.
In July of 2004, a citizens group formed the Valley County Pathways Committee. For many years, people from different areas in Long Valley have thought about the potential of developing a valley-wide pathway system that could be used for walking, biking, running, roller-blading, horseback riding, commuting, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Most of this effort was focused in McCall. The Valley County Pathways Committee created an organization that would make a pathways system possible throughout the Long Valley region.
VC Pathways has a county-approved pathways master plan that envisions more than 100 miles of pedestrian pathways between McCall and Cascade, including the prospect of revitalizing an old railroad right of way that runs the length of Long Valley, and building trails around Payette Lake and Lake Cascade.
Why is it important for Valley County to develop a valley-wide pathway system?
Research and experience related to existing pedestrian pathway and greenway systems across the United States indicate that pathways create multiple public benefits:
-Create new opportunities for recreation and for people to commute to work or shopping areas without using fossil fuels.
-Boost local economies.
-Provide transportation links to culturally or historically valuable areas.
-Tie together parks, schools, waterways and communities.
-Create opportunities for people to improve physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.
-Enhance a community’s quality of life.
-Preserve open space corridors.
The 2000 Leisure Travel and Recreation Study, performed for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, shows that hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and cross-country skiing are among the most important recreation pursuits by residents and non-residents. The 2002 Idaho Outdoor Recreation Survey shows that Idaho residents enjoy hiking and biking more than any other recreation activities. Clearly, there is strong public demand from residents and non-residents for the type of recreation opportunities that will be accessible to the public via the Valley County Pathways System.
