Brundage Mountain Resort has a special place in the hearts of Idaho snow lovers. Snow conditions are consistently outstanding, which is why Brundage Mountain has earned the reputation for the Best Snow in Idaho™. It’s no secret that the snow is deep and the lift lines are usually short. The mountain gets frequent storms, so skiers and boarders can cruise on freshly groomed runs or search for powder stashes in the trees and bowls.
For beginners, Brundage is one of the best mountains in Idaho to learn on—the drive-up daycare and Kid’s Center makes it easy to get the whole family where they need to go. The Easy Street double chair and Bear Chair triple provide easy access to beginner and advanced beginner terrain close to the Kid’s Center.
A majority of the luxuriously wide groomed runs are rated for intermediates, but experts who like to head off-trail have endless options. Shoot over to the north side of the mountain to Hidden Valley (follow the expert only signs) and go big. Real powder hounds will want to try the backcountry snow-cat program which operates on 18,000 acres of Payette National Forest.
Visit Brundage and you’ll pick up on that authentic Idaho feeling. Just eight miles away, the town of McCall will impress you with its friendly, low-key vibe.
Brundage Mountain has recently acquired ownership of 488 acres at the base area, and future plans include brand-new base area facilities and ski-in, ski-out lodging.
With the best snow in Idaho, a family atmosphere, affordable prices, friendly people, and an uncrowded powder experience, Brundage is a true snowrider’s mountain, poised to become a favorite destination resort.

The Central Idaho Amateur Radio Club (CIARC) welcomes anyone who is
interested in amateur radio into its membership. The club which was
founded in the early 1980’s has members from all over the central Idaho
region. The club has installed and maintains two 2 meter ham radio
repeaters on Brundage Mountain and No Business Mountain. These
repeaters can be used by any licensed ham radio operator and facilitate
communication throughout our central Idaho service area and beyond.
They are available for emergency communication and have been used by
Search and Rescue and for local events such as the “I AM Tuff Race”, the
Iditarod trials dog sled race and the McCall Running Classic to provide
reliable communications for the event. The club has provided comms for
The “4 Summit Challenge”. Many members of the Club are also members of
Valley County Search and Rescue and use their skills and radio equipment
to assist that organization. In 2018 the Club sponsored a special
Events Station, W7C, to celebrate Winter Carnival and contacted hams all
over the US, Canada and the world during its one week of operation. A
similar operation is planned for 2019.
CIARC also helps those who are interested in becoming hams to get
licensed. Club members have become Volunteer Examiners and participate
through a national coordinator to provide local ham radio license FCC
recognized testing program. Our testing sessions are usually preceded
with an all day nationally recognized ham radio class that assists
participants with passing their tests. We also assist newly licensed
hams with setting up their station and getting on the air. Since 2016,
CIARC has participated in ARRL Field Day. This June event which started in
1933 is sponsored by the American Radio Relay League and has upwards of
40,000 ham participants all over North America. Groups such as ours set
up temporary operations using all sources of emergency power to test and
improve our emergency preparedness, improve our operators technical
skills and to preform community outreach. We are currently planning
our 2019 operation of events.
OUR MISSION: Protect, Enhance and Create quality trail experiences for the mountain bike community in Central Idaho.
WE ACTIVELY WORK TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

Advocate for trail access.
Build and maintain sustainable trails.
City of Cascade- Your Destination for FUN!
Cascade is situated well within the boundaries of the great mountainous, alpine-forested region that stretches from the upper boundaries of the Great Basin nearly to the Arctic Circle. With an average of slightly more than two persons per square mile, it is easy to see that there are vast, wide-open spaces to enjoy the activities the area has to offer. The economy of the Lake Cascade Recreation Area has been recognized as a superb location for recreation, sports and simply “getting away from it all.” Employment opportunities in the area are therefore varied and run the gamut from ranching, logging and National Forest positions to many choices in health care, recreation and visitor services, retail and other small business opportunities.
Valley County is a rural county located in west central Idaho in the United States. Established in 1917, it was named after the Long Valley of the North Fork of the Payette River, which extends over 30 miles from Payette Lake at McCall south to Cascade to Round Valley. The population was 9,862 at the 2010 census. The county seat is Cascade, and the largest city is McCall.
The community has embraced its role as the starting point for many of the activities that draw people to the region. As with the entire area, Cascade offers year-round attractions and activities. In general, residents of the area make the most of all four seasons and plan activities and celebrations that highlight the best features of each.
Cascade’s extensive events calendar provides plenty of proof of the community’s appeal. The town has a variety of housing accommodations and an array of services designed to assist visitors to make the most of the area’s attractions.
The City of McCall is a full-service municipal government. The City provides water and sewer service, a full complement of recreation programming, an extensive system of parks, beaches, and recreational trails, street maintenance, library services, and a wide variety of community development services. Located at the busy crossroads of State Highway 55 and U.S. 95, New Meadows is more than just a gas-station stop for road-weary travelers. As a gateway to four seasons of outdoor adventures – including cycling, hiking, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and even log burling competitions – this small, friendly town is worth a stop and stay.

id Theater is a development only theater company. We believe that in order to have great theater we have to start with great plays, and in order to have great plays we must nurture talented writers. Working chiefly in McCall, Idaho and New York City, id provides a safe place for artists (professional, emerging, amateur & student) to develop work, take risks and introduce audiences to adventurous new works that reflect, challenge and celebrate them.
This development happens through four distinct programs:
• Seven Devils Playwrights Conference an annual two-week Conference bringing playwrights & theater artists from around the country to McCall, Idaho for 2 weeks of rehearsals, readings and workshops of new work, including plays by area high school students.

The University of Idaho McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS) is located on the shore of Payette Lake and within the boundaries of Ponderosa State Park. As Idaho’s ONLY publicly operated K12 outdoor school, MOSS offers a one-of-a-kind learning experience for youth, graduate students, teachers and the community. When there are no Residential Programs occurring, MOSS is a rustic, limited service rental facility, much like a state park campground. We do our very best to accommodate guest needs given our resources. We do not guarantee the level of service one might expect at a large hotel or conference facility. Guests can expect clean accommodations and delicious food service; residing guests should expect self-check-in and overall self-reliance. Contact us today to see if we have space for your group.
Welcome to Valley County
Valley County is a rural county located in west central Idaho in the United States. Established in 1917, it was named after the Long Valley of the North Fork of the Payette River, which extends over 30 miles from Payette Lake at McCall south to Cascade to Round Valley. The valley was formerly a summer pasture for livestock from the Boise Valley. Since the completion of the Cascade Dam in 1948, much of the northern valley has been covered by the Cascade Reservoir. The population was 7,651 at the 2000 census; it was estimated at 9,862 in 2010. The county seat is Cascade, and the largest city is McCall.
Established in August 1973, the Valley County Museum Complex at Roseberry Idaho is governed by the Long Valley Preservation Society (LVPS). Roseberry stands by itself in the middle of the Long Valley and is located one and one half miles from Donnelly on Idaho State Highway 55. As the largest presentation of Finnish Culture in the Western United States, Roseberry is also a National and International draw for foreign visitors. Roseberry is unique because the museum is currently comprised of twenty-two buildings, many housing historical displays, and providing visitors with a year-round view of the history of Long Valley. The Museum is operated seasonally. Hours are: May – Sunday 1-5; June/July/August – Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1-5; September – Sunday 1-5. Visitors to the town site are welcome to view buildings year-round. The summer season provides rustic grassy areas for picnics.
PRIVATE EVENTS – Weddings, Family Gatherings, Memorials, Class Reunions – Can be held on the Roseberry Museum Grounds. Providing both indoor seating capacity up to 100 and adjoining outdoor space to accommodate up to 300, there are events planned throughout the summer season. For information regarding your event plan and rental fees, contact HistoricRoseberryEvents@gmail.com or call the museum at 208-325-8628.
In July of 2004, a citizens group formed the Valley County Pathways Committee. For many years, people from different areas in Long Valley have thought about the potential of developing a valley-wide pathway system that could be used for walking, biking, running, roller-blading, horseback riding, commuting, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Most of this effort was focused in McCall. The Valley County Pathways Committee created an organization that would make a pathways system possible throughout the Long Valley region.
VC Pathways has a county-approved pathways master plan that envisions more than 100 miles of pedestrian pathways between McCall and Cascade, including the prospect of revitalizing an old railroad right of way that runs the length of Long Valley, and building trails around Payette Lake and Lake Cascade.
Why is it important for Valley County to develop a valley-wide pathway system?
Research and experience related to existing pedestrian pathway and greenway systems across the United States indicate that pathways create multiple public benefits:
-Create new opportunities for recreation and for people to commute to work or shopping areas without using fossil fuels.
-Boost local economies.
-Provide transportation links to culturally or historically valuable areas.
-Tie together parks, schools, waterways and communities.
-Create opportunities for people to improve physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.
-Enhance a community’s quality of life.
-Preserve open space corridors.
The 2000 Leisure Travel and Recreation Study, performed for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, shows that hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and cross-country skiing are among the most important recreation pursuits by residents and non-residents. The 2002 Idaho Outdoor Recreation Survey shows that Idaho residents enjoy hiking and biking more than any other recreation activities. Clearly, there is strong public demand from residents and non-residents for the type of recreation opportunities that will be accessible to the public via the Valley County Pathways System.
