Stage Flight – “Encounters with the Supernatural” @ Alpine Playhouse

March 8 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

2019 Cabin Fever’s Stage Flight . . . our new storytelling program inspired by Juneau’s popular and delightful Mudrooms returns for its second year! It kinda sounds like “stage fright,” but it’s a lot more fun! Here’s how it works: Seven storytellers are selected to regale the audience with a true personal tale. Each storyteller has EXACTLY seven minutes to tell his or her story. Each month’s program has a designated story theme. From crass to delicate, told by wallflowers or clowns, live stories are mesmerizing and raw. This is not a theatrical performance, but real-life storytelling shared by friends, neighbors, visitors, and strangers. Audience members pay $7 for an unpredictable wild-ride of an evening full of good old-fashioned storytelling fun. Seven tales – seven minutes – seven dollars! Income supports the McCall Arts and Humanities Council and the Alpine Playhouse.

To be a storyteller:
Storytellers must apply and will be selected by the Stage Flight vetting committee. Fill out an online application and view House Rules at www.mccallarts.org; call 634-7136 with questions

To be an audience member:
Buy a $7 ticket online at www.mccallarts.org by registering for one or all of the season’s Stage Flight programs. If tickets are left by the date of each program, they will also be available at the door. All shows at 7:00pm at the Alpine Playhouse.
